The homes in inventory for Venice Florida community of Pelican Pointe Golf & Country Club is dropping and number of homes being sold seems to remain steady.  This is a good indication that the market for this community is beginning to stabilize.  Currently there is approximately 5 months of inventory for single family homes in Pelican Pointe Golf & Country Club.  Golf memberships are also becoming more affordable. If you are considering buying or selling a home in Pelican Pointe Golf & Country Club, give me a call I am happy to answer any questions you may have.

This is something that I felt I must share with everyone.  Check out the fish my son and his friend caught a few nights ago.  After they brought this in, my son and his friend carried this enormous fish in their bare hands about a 1/4 of mile back to our house (being very careful not to drop it back into the water of course).  When arriving back home, the both of them ran as fast as they could up to the house (about 800 feet to the house from the creek).  They were so out of breath they almost couldn't tell us about their big catch.  Dad and his sisters all ran back to the creek to see what they caught, not believing the story they were telling us.

This is a whopping 43" Snook!  I can't believe my son and his friend brought this gigantic fish in.  They were so proud of themselves.  They caught this fish on a 17lb test.  Right after this picture was taken they released the Snook back into the creek which runs into the Englewood Isles Canals in Englewood Florida and he swam away only to be caught again another day.  This will be a night that they will always remember and I am sure that this experience will make them Anglers for the rest of their lives.

Many of Venice Florida seasonal visitors (otherwise known as "Snow Birds") have left Florida and returned home.  I do not see activity in Pelican Pointe slowing down much as a result of Venice Florida's season ending.  Last year at this time (May 2008 and June 2008) there were a total 15 homes sold.  Hopefully last year's activity will be an indication of this years activity for the Pelican Pointe Golf & Country Club.

Venice, Florida is one of the most beautiful communities in Florida and is located directly on the Gulf of Mexico.  Venice is a very popular place to live for retired seniors and families.  Venice FL is known for its beautiful beaches, scenic parks, quaint downtown shopping and its lovely boulevard shaded by giant live oaks that extend from downtown to the Venice Beaches. 

Venice is also know as the "Sharks Tooth Capitlal of the World" and is the best location to find prehistoric sharks teeth and other treasures on their beautiful Florida beaches.  In addition to the lovely beach, a central park along Venice's main street, Venice Avenue, is the site of concerts, arts and craft shows, and various special events.

Venice Municipal Airport is 2 miles away from downtown Venice and sits nearby the Gulf of Mexico, The airport is open to the public but there are no commercial flights available.  The airport includes 2 runways, on 835 acres of land with precision weather tracking, and medium grade lighting from dusk until dawn. A lot of the area's wealthy and noteable residents use the airport for the pirivate jets.  There are many real estate opportunities here including Venice Florida Homes and all other types of Venice FL real estate.

Yhis is Centenial Park, Venice Florida where you find weekly afternoon concerts enjoyed by the young and old.

This is our South Jetties, Venice Florida.  You can see in the background the condos that line the Venice Florida coastline.  I did not realize at the time that I captured a picture of a dolphin playing in the Gulf of Mexico.  You can find dolphin at the Jetties all the time.

This is the Crows Nest Marina where many boaters stop to enjoy Venice's famous Crows Nest Restaurant.

One of our areas most popular destinations is the Sharkeys On The Pier Restaurant.  It is so much fun to eat outside on the beach and enjoy a live band playing tropical music or if you would like to go fishing on the Venice Fishing Pier.
