Viva la Pink, a fashion party for breast cancer awareness. Team Believe, a local Sarasota team will participate in the Breast Cancer 3-day this fall in Tampa for the second year. A fashion show on the beautiful pink carpet which leads to a surprise ending with the winning Bra for a Cause modeled by the 2nd baseman Dusty Showers. All models are breast cancer survivors.

All proceeds will benefit research and awareness by donations to the Susan G. Komen 3-day for the Cure.  Please mark your calendars and support this event by joining them on October 1st at Foxy Lady.

Developed in the late 1960's through early 1980s, Jacaranda West community in Venice FL is surrounded by two 18 hole championship golf courses that have recently been renovated with redesign by Chip Powell. Jacaranda's many amenties include active clubhouse, tennis, fabulous dining and is located close to Downtown Venice and their sandy gulf beaches.  Membership is not a mandatory requirement to live in Jacaranda West.

As of March 10, 2011 there are 13 Jacaranda West homes  for sale in Venice FL (this does not include homes that are for sale by owner).  The highest priced listing is currently $298,500 and the lowest priced home listing is $85,000 and one of the homes listed for sale is a Short Sales.  There are 8 homes in Jacaranda West currently under contract, one of which is a Short Sale. 

Homes are selling in Jacaranda West.  Since the beginning of this year 6 homes have sold. The highest priced home sold for $253,500 and the lowest priced home sold for $148,100.  One of the homes sold was a REO/Bank Owned home or Foreclosure and another home was a Short Sale.

What is a Short Sale? A Short Sale is where a lender agrees to accept less than what they are owe in order to facilitate a sale of the defaulted homeowner's property.  Recently the government has made it easier to resolve foreclosure and Pre-Foreclosure by enacting the Mortgage Forgiveness Debt Relief Act.  This allows a homeowner in danger of Foreclosure to seek a more favorable resolution.
