PDF Freeware, CutePDF Writer, it is so easy

Today in my MLS training class our instructor gave us a HUGE developers tip, www.cutepdf.com.  While Adobe Acrobat is the leader of PDF creation, it also is very expensive ($800+/-). CutePDF Writer (formerly CutePDF Printer) is the free version of commercial PDF creation software. CutePDF Writer installs itself as a "printer subsystem". This enables virtually any Windows applications (must be able to print) to create professional quality PDF documents - with just a push of a button! All you have to do is select Print from any application, choose CutePDF Printer, and the software saves your document as a PDF file to your hard drive.  Creating a PDF with this free software is so easy.  Best of all, despite being freeware, the software doesn't include any ads or watermarks. I have already used it several times and it is awesome.

Kari- yes, this is a great tool and simple to use. We have the professional Adobe on our systems but for those who don't have a converter tool for pdf, this is great. Thanks for sharing. Katerina

Kari, I have been using CutePDF Writer for more than five years. It is great and has never made a bad document conversion to pdf.

Hi Cari, I use Cute PDF and find it a wonderful tool for converting documents to PDF format.  I prefer to email PDF documents since they they can not be altered (unless someone has the full PDF package).  I also store my documents on disc in PDF format.
